The Problem
Traditional pipe stoppers are difficult to install:
- The seal refuses to grip.
- Wing nut is not easy to tighten.
- Screw thread seizes up.
- Installation can take many minutes inside a manhole or inspection chamber. Retrieval involves facing a live wall of sewage when the stopper is unscrewed.
The Solution
ASPs new Camstopper with its revolutionary quick seal and release camlever makes installation and removal of the stopper easy than ever before, bringing stoppers into the 21st century.
Application
The Camstopper retains the benefits of the traditional design of discs and a rubber seal, the difference is in the lever and heel which are used to actuate the force and allow for easy removal. To install, simply slide the stopper into the pipe, secure the heel against the wall of the pipe and pull the camlever, to release, tie a rope around the camhandle, and from outside the manhole pull on the rope. This ensures a no mess, no fuss removal and allows for the first time ever for 'non-man entry' removal, complying with Confined Spaces Regulations 1997.
